We spent a few minutes on Google maps and looking around the internet to pinpoint the exact location of the Basurero de Cocula, and the long winding road leading to it. It's easier than you might think to find it, and surprising how little else is there in that otherwise empty landscape. All the photos you can find are during the investigations and forensic studies and the things that happened between late 2014 and 2015. Before that, it was a place that no one would have ever thought to photograph.
I hope the paintings do more justice to the character of the place than perhaps the photographs could.
