A 2019 series of paintings, oil over panel. Continuing the “Alembics” theme, here we’re asked to consider the effects on essentially the same area of the body, but with slightly more and less muddy optics.
In the end, impurities are burned away. The result is nearly always something unexpected, almost disturbingly familiar, and precisely what was necessary at that moment.
